QuizproofPlacementCheck

Requests with the user agent QuizproofPlacementCheck come from Quizproof, a Shopify app. They only go to stores that have installed the app, to tell the merchant whether a quiz is live on their storefront.

What it reads

• The store's home page and up to eight pages linked from it on the same store (pages, products and collections). It looks for a Quizproof quiz block, Quiz button or quiz link.
• Plain GET requests for HTML, at most 2 MB a page and 5 seconds a check. It runs no scripts, sends no forms, keeps no cookies and never touches the cart or customer accounts.
• Only the store's own myshopify.com domain and its primary domain.

How often

A check runs when the merchant opens the app's Home page or presses Check again. A store gets at most one manual check a minute, and a result is reused for up to 10 minutes. On a 429 response the check stops at once and waits for the Retry-After time (at least a minute, at most an hour) before it asks that store again.
