Quick answers
Short answers to the questions merchants ask most. Each links to the full article.
Does Quizproof slow down my store?#
A popup quiz's code loads only when a shopper points at, focuses or taps a quiz link. A Quiz block loads its script only when a shopper scrolls near it. See placing your quiz.
Does it change my theme's code?#
No. The quiz is a theme app block or app embed that you add and remove in the theme editor, and Quizproof doesn't ask for permission to edit themes. See placing your quiz.
Which themes does it work with?#
The Quiz and Quiz button blocks need a theme that supports app blocks, such as Dawn or Horizon. The Quiz popups embed and the quiz page don't depend on blocks. How the cart reacts after Add to cart depends on the theme; see the results page and add to cart.
Can I have several quizzes?#
Yes, as many as you like. Each has its own handle, so you can put a different quiz on each page or link. All your quizzes share the plan's monthly completions.
Is there a free plan?#
Yes. The Free plan has every feature and 25 completions a month, and its quizzes show a small "Powered by Quizproof" link. See plans and limits.
Do my own tests count towards my plan?#
Previews in Quizproof and test links don't count, and neither does starting a quiz. A quiz you complete on your live store counts like a shopper's. See plans and limits.
Can shoppers retake a quiz?#
Yes. Start over on the results takes them back to the first question. It doesn't count as another completion. If a shopper reloads the page mid-quiz, the quiz picks up where they were in that browser tab.
Does it work on mobile?#
Yes. The popup fits the phone's screen and a Quiz block follows your page's width. We measure the quiz's speed on a simulated mid-range phone with a slow mobile connection.
Can I remove the "Powered by Quizproof" link?#
Yes, on any paid plan, from Starter up. It goes away by itself shortly after you change plans; you don't need to publish again. See plans and limits.
What happens when I uninstall?#
Your quizzes stop working on your store, and nothing is left in your theme's code. Remove the blocks in the theme editor to tidy up. Your quizzes and data are kept for 48 hours, so a quick reinstall keeps them; you connect Klaviyo again, and a quiz's page tells you if its blocks need the quiz chosen again. After 48 hours Shopify asks Quizproof to delete your store's data, and it does. Customers created from opt-ins stay in Shopify. See privacy and consent.
Can you build the quiz for me?#
We don't build quizzes as a service. Start from a template (Browse templates on Quizzes): it brings questions, rules and copy ready to adapt. If you get stuck, email us and the person who builds Quizproof will help. See getting started.
Which languages does the quiz support?#
You can write a quiz in any language. Each quiz has one language, so a store in several languages uses one quiz per language. See markets, currencies and languages.
Which email tools does it work with?#
Quizproof connects to Klaviyo directly. Other tools, such as Omnisend, can work through Shopify Flow: Quizproof adds two Flow triggers, set up under Settings › Integrations › Shopify Flow. Opt-ins are also saved as customers in Shopify, with the marketing consent the shopper gave, once you allow it under Settings › Email opt-in settings. Quizproof itself emails shoppers their results when they ask for them. See Klaviyo setup and the email opt-in.
Where is my data stored?#
On servers in Germany, in the EU, with encrypted backups also kept in the EU. Traffic to the app passes through Cloudflare's network. Details are in our privacy policy.
